Conteúdo Adulto - Brice Dellsperger

Body Double 21 is based on Roger Avary's "The Rules of Attraction" (2001). The specific sequence in which a young brunette is committing suicide in her bath is here extended to a 20 minutes film featuring eleven non-professional actors. The close shot on the girl's wrist as she pulls a blade through her vein stands for a shared collective moment, in opposition to the successive shots on the characters' faces. The video turns a moment of extreme solitude into an impudic gesture through a shift in exposure, from privacy to public. In Body Double 21, the concept of transformation is translated by the disappearence of faces and by the slow sound dislocation process created by the British artist V/VM.
